The Right-Turn series is a body of work from 2005 - 2010 that examined the American identity through the lens of cars, sports, entertainment, and oil consumption. Stemming from the patriotic hyperbole following 9/11 (and the illegal and misguided war waged in Iraq that followed), these pieces sought to highlight the hypocrisy and fallacy of the extreme “patriotism” that continues to permeate the political and social discourse still happening in America today.

The culmination of the series was presented in a large-scale solo exhibition at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art entitled Intersections in 2010. The exhibition's centerpiece included artistic sculptural renditions of the cars highlighted in the iconic 10-minute + long car chase scene from the 1968 movie Bullet starring Steve McQueen.
